Fashion at Oscars fake??? :O

Actor Alan Cumming hosted amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS 2010 benefit gala at the Hotel du Cap in Antibes, France a day ago. Actresses, philanthropists, fashion designers, and supermodels showed up all dressed for a great cause. Mary J. Blige and Patti Smith performed during the event, and the year's auction raised 7.5 million euros in three hours. But, the comment Karl Lagerfeld made may have overshadowed the event. Karl Lagerfeld, stated that “The fashion is fantastic tonight,. At the Oscars, it’s fake. People wear what they think they should wear. Here, people wear what they like, not because they are obliged.” OMG right!!! Here are some of my favorite dressed.

Elizabeth Banks in a stunning Atelier Versace gown.

 Georgina Chapman in Marchesa.

Kate Beckinsale in a very dreamy blue Armani Prive

Naomi Cambell in L'Wren Scott with the designer.

 Emily Blunt in Georges Chakra.

American actress Jennifer Lopez in Roberto Cavalli.

Do you guys have any favorites that I missed?? Do you think Karl Lagerfeld has a valid point or do you think he should just zip it??

Wow, these dresses are so gorgeous. I really love the 1st, 3rd, and last but they are all truly stunning! That is a really bold statement that Karl Lagerfield has made, especially if he wants to keep some of his current clients! It seems that he is putting down an industry that supports him. Now why would he do that? I think there is pressure in any country, at any event to dress well and I'm not sure it was a good idea for him to make such a statement.

Great post, Love! I hope you had a fantastic weekend.
