Actor Alan Cumming hosted amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS 2010 benefit gala at the Hotel du Cap in Antibes, France a day ago. Actresses, philanthropists, fashion designers, and supermodels showed up all dressed for a great cause. Mary J. Blige and Patti Smith performed during the event, and the year's auction raised 7.5 million euros in three hours. But, the comment Karl Lagerfeld made may have overshadowed the event. Karl Lagerfeld, stated that “The fashion is fantastic tonight,. At the Oscars, it’s fake. People wear what they think they should wear. Here, people wear what they like, not because they are obliged.” OMG right!!! Here are some of my favorite dressed.

Vogue Russia's latest issue comes with a gourmet supplement which has some of its own vintage styling, with a soviet twist. Photographed by Alexey Kolpakov and starring model Sasha Luss who makes a perfect advertising pin-up girl in the spread. I am in love with all the vintage stuff recently...but I can't seem to find any good looking vintage clothes. I went to a thrift store the other day and their collection was so crappy. I am planning on visiting a few more thrift stores next week and hopefully I'll find something.

I found this editorial from Kurv Magazine with Barbora Pracharova and photographed by Waldemar Hansson. The editorial is shot in the romantic setting of an Opera House and shows the feminine as well as elegant attire of Barbora. The photographs are lovely and the setting is very beautiful. Check 'em out..

Alice in Wonderland comes out on DVD on June 1st. I think I might buy it. But in the meantime I found a couple of Alice editorials that I wanna show you. This one today is from Vogue Girl Korea, April 2010. It's called "Alica & Mr. Rabbit" and was photographed by Tae Woo. I really love Fairy Tales inspired fashion editorials so I decided that every week I am going to do one fairy tale inspired Spread. I have a few of them lined up already..I can't wait to show them to you guys. But right now let's check out the Alice in Wonderland...

I love the song "Love Story" by Taylor Swift. I used to sing it all the time...such a lovely song. It's still one of my favorites. The reason I decided to write about it is because I found an editorial about Romeo and Juliet featured in Vogue US 2008. It's called "Love of a Lifetime" and it was photographed by Annie Leibowitz. Ballet dancer Roberto Bolle was invited by Vogue magazine to star alongside model Coco Rocha in this fashionable version of Romeo&Juliet. Juliet - aka Coco - parades in couture dresses, among which, one signed by Christian Lacroix (ball scene) and a gorgeous Alexander McQueen red silk tulle gown used for the tragic end scene. Each of the images remind me of a particular line from the song. 

We were both young when I fist saw you, I close my eyes and the flashbacks starts, I am standing there...on a balcony in summer air...

See the lights, see the party, the ball gown; See you make your way through the crowd and say Hello...

You were Romeo, you were throwing pebbles...My daddy said,"stay away from Juliet"...

I sneak out to the garden to see you, we keep quiet coz we're dead if they knew..so close your eyes, escape this town for a little while.....

Shrek releases in 4 hours and I am very happy...I am going to go watch the movie tomorrow or may be Saturday. But in the mean time I wanted you show you guys some pictures that I found few days ago. Dior made its runway debut in Shanghai on Saturday night for the Resort 2011 collection with a sixties-chic Cruise collection inspired by the French New Wave. A 150-meter Dior gray tent was constructed along the Huangpu River in the historic colonial district the Bund, not far from the site where Chanel put on its pre-fall show last December and the guest number was 500 something. The dresses are all so amazing. Dior is definitely one of my favorite brands. I wish I could get all these dresses. I really love the girl y ones with ruffles and flowers and lace on them. Although I am not a big fan of the color pink but I do adore some shades of pink, specially the ones that makes a thing look cute and classy and very girl-ish.
