I didn't do a post yesterday because I wasn't feeling too happy and sunny. I have these kinds of days sometimes, it's mostly because of an argument with someone or homesickness since I haven't seen my family in almost 3 and half years now. But anyways, so I use this thing called stumble-upon and basically what it does is shows you a random website based on your likeness and if you click the like button on the toolbar it will show you a similar website. I am pretty sure a lot of you have used it or at least heard about it. It's surprising how many people use stumble . So I started using that 2 years ago and I got hooked...It's perfect for me because my work is so boring, I basically just sit all day and have nothing to do. Yesterday I was stumbling and I landed on a website that had a post that said "33 movies to watch when you are sad". It was a perfect day for me to have found that post. So here I am going to share some with you guys just in case anyone of you have days like me every once in a while..

1. 10 things I hate about you.

I can't tell you how much I like this movie and adore Heath Ledger. He was a good looking guy :( 

2. 500 Days of Summer

This movie is so cute :) I love Zoey Deschanel, she is really pretty and somehow I also always confuse her with Katy Perry..lol..I also remember when I watched the movie when it came out, I got out of the theater and my dad called me from India and he asked me what movie I was watching and I said 500 days of summer and he goes, "Well a year only has 365 days, how did they count 500 days of summer" I am like dad, the girls name is summer and that is exactly what I thought when I first heard of the movie too..lol..my dad is so silly <3 But, anyways if you haven't seen it, you should.. :D

3. Bring it on!

Holy crap, I have seen all the bring it on movies and I love them. I would watch them over and over again and I actually do. They are so "high school" and it fascinates me because I never went to a high school in America therefore I never had the cheer leader experience or the prom or the homecoming..and that makes me sad :'( But these movies make me happy..

4. The Devil Wears Prada.

OMG!! This should have been number 1 on that list for me. I can never get tired of it and every time I watch this movie I wanna be an editor in fashion magazine..lol..the outfits are amazing and I fall in love with them all over again every time. Plus, I love Anne Hathaway.

5. The Clique

Now, I know this is a teen movie and the teen books but if you like drama then you will love them. I am a bitchy mean girl sometimes hehe so I kinda relate myself to them. :P But I have read all the books and I love the detailed description of the outfits and in my head they look pretty cute..lol I wish they would make movies out of the other books too. Tyra Banks needs to get to it soon :P

6. Legally Blonde

This movie always cheers me up. There was a time in my life when I saw this movie literally everyday for like 2 months I think. I love it so much that I remember it with dialogues..haha

7. Sex and the City

Now this movie everyone has seen :D I am not even going to say anything about it :D 

8. Dostana

Ok, I don't know how many of you like to watch foreign movies, but this is my "feel good" movie. It's an Indian movie and I would suggest you watch it if you don't mind reading subtitles. They have it on netflix. It's a movie about 2 guys who desperately want to rent this apartment but they can't because the landlady wants only girls to live there since her niece is going to be staying there too alone, so these 2 guys pretend to be gay but then the real problem begins when they find out that the girl is extremely hot and they both want to date her. It's really funny and all the white friends have watched it and they liked it. Even my husband who doesn't like watching any Indian movies loves this movie :D

This up there was probably my most favorite dialogue of Sex and the City. Anybody who ever watched the show have for sure heard about the designer Manolo Blahnik or even if you haven't watched the show I know every one of you know because I mean come on we are all fashion bloggers. I fell in love with his designs when I saw the first SATC movie and the blue shoes that Carrie wears when she is getting married in the end and OMG the day I received them in the mail was probably the best day of my life..lol..I only wore them once because I am so afraid of ruining them..haha..

My favorite past time besides going to the mall is visiting Barnes n Noble. Me and my husband go there a lot, just sit there, have coffee and chat and read. So yesterday I was there and I was going through books and I found this book called "Manolo Blahnik Drawings". I found it really interesting because it had a whole lot of designs by Blahnik...SHOE DESIGNS..and whenever I see shoes I just can't stop myself, I get really psyched..haha..that happened to me the other day at the Bebe store too but I just didn't want to spend money to buy shoes, I did buy a pair yesterday :P. Anyways, I am sure I am not the only one out there who likes Manolos. There were couple others in the show that I thought were really pretty but I just can't seem to find it and I don't even remember what episode it was *tear*. I think I am gonna have to go back and watch all of them again, YAY fun!!. I just wanted to share with you some of the interesting designs because they amuse me. :)

 I was thinking today about what to write for a post because I didn't feel like posting pictures of just some article and be done with it so I asked a friend of mine about what I should write...and he gave me the idea for this. He thinks that guys who wears socks with sandals is just gross. I kinda agree with it. This right here is my favorite Fashion Faux Pas and was rated number 2 in the fashion sins that men commit and wearing socks with sandals goes back to the Romans? I am not so sure about that one, I just read it somewhere. May be its just me but I hate it when my husband goes out with me to the mall or wherever in his flip flops or his work out gear. He did it once and I got pissed (this was back when we were dating) and he asked me what was wrong with that and I said, "what would you think if I came to the mall in my sweat pants?" and he said "I won't go with you" and I said "that right there is exactly what's wrong with you wearing work out gear to the mall"...So wearing socks with sandals or flip flops is a big NO NO according to me...granted I do wear socks with flip flops but that's only when I am sitting behind my desk and I know I am not going to have any work to do. Besides that I have never ever done that. But it's different for women, the trend of socks with sandals for women is "IN" right now, you see models wearing them on runway shows and they look better when paired with a decent looking pair of heels..and plus women just know better lol so they would know how to pair socks and sandals properly and they won't be bad looking wooly socks from good ol' grandma days either but for men I am just not sure...First of all I don't think sandals look good on guys and then pair them with socks is just plain ugly. There was a time when I used to think sandals on guys were ok but it was also when I was back in India and I had no sense of style and didn't know squat about fashion :P I don't get what's the point of sandals with socks though, you wear sandals because it's hot outside but then you also wear socks with it?? I have seen guys wearing hideous looking socks with sandals kind of like these...

First of all, I wanna say thanks to all of you who checked out my friend's pics and liked them...I told him about you guys' comments and he was really happy I did that for him, so happy that he is officially making me his manager. I told him I will even make him a blog if he takes pics for my outfit posts and he agreed to it..so yay to that. I have also decided that on my every post I will put one picture taken by him (a pretty picture of course) to start out the post all nice and happy..so here goes today's pic...ohh I also wanna say, sometimes he has the best captions for his pics and I wonder what made him come up with it :P

        Ok, well moving on to more important things now..I went shopping few days ago, didn't buy a whole lot of things just couple tops and necklaces and a bag from F21. I didn't have money in my bank account but I absolutely HAD to shop because the last time I shopped before that was in May and I was dying and I felt like I had nothing in my closet to wear. I love it when I spend very less money and still get a whole lotta things for that price....that makes my day so much better. Like the other day, me and my husband went grocery shopping and to me it looks like we grocery shop a lottttttt and every time we do we spend at least a 100 bucks and we are calorie conscious people so it's not like we buy food like crazy you know but I have no idea how we end up spending that but so that particular day we only spent 18 bucks in Walmart and when we left I told him, "do you realize that this is the least amount of money we have ever spent in Walmart?" and as usual he made a weird face..sometimes they are funny but a lot of the times they just piss me off..lol..(I am so glad he doesn't read my blog because I have a feeling he won't like what I write about him :P) 
        But ya back to my story, I have been wanting dog tags and I don't think I have ever mentioned this before but my husband is in the military, when i started dating him I asked him for his and he said he would give 'em to me but he never did..So one day I am watching the show "Army Wives" (I don't know how many of you girls have ever watched the show) and Roxy (one of the wives) is wearing a mini gold dog tag necklace and I fell so much in love with it...I have been searching for them for a while and FINALLY I was in F21 the other day and I found them..they have "dream" written on 'em but will do for now.. :P Here, check them out:

            But anyways, I was looking on their website because I need to really do some serious accesory shopping and I can't believe the variety of everything they have on there. If I was still living in India, I don't know if I would find half of these things.. :P (oh ya I am an Indian, born and raised and I have only been in US for little more thn 5 years) These necklaces I saw on F21 website, they are for "fashionable" people and you'll see what I mean by fashionable..

There are lots of other cool stuff that I really want but I will wait...I have a feeling that I am going to win lottery real soon..lol..that's what I keep saying to myself. Ohh one more thing, since the 80's and the 90's are coming back, the wide legged pants are so much in style right now and I wanna get them but I don't like the one's they have on Forever21. If you guys come across something, please do let me know and I also have been looking for a long maxi skirt...preferably black or pink!! I would really appreciate it. Well this post is getting to be a little bit longer than I thought so I will wrap it up and talk about other things later. I would like to know if you guys have ideas on how to pair different necklaces together..I have never tried it but I would like to and look good in it too :P

I was thinking what I should keep the title of this post and then I remembered I used to be in love with this song "pictures of you"..I can't remember who sings it and I am too lazy to go on youtube and find it right now. Today I want to talk about photography a little, it's not my hobby or anything...I just like posing in front of the camera but by friend/roommate is an amazing photographer. He doesn't do this professionally but he is planning on doing it soon someday and we were talking about him making a blog yesterday. I know he is not going to do it because he is lazier than I am so here I am promoting his work. So you know how I said I just like posing, well here are some of my pics he took..every time he has a camera, I like standing in front of it and taking pictures :P I am sure he gets annoyed by it sometimes but ehhh..he is my friend so I think I get the right to annoy him :P Let's check out the pics alright?? :)

What do you guys think? I love the pictures he takes and a whole lot of my friends do too.. He doesn't have a website or anything but he does have a facebook page..now I know everyone nowadays have facebook so you guys should check the page out and may be like the page (just like it even if you don't like the pics..lol). I don't know why but lately I have been in love with vintage things, so much that I told my husband when he buys a house I wanna make it all Vintage-y and his reply was "ummm..okay..LOL". Was that supposed to be a yes or a no?? I feel like when people start their replies with "umm" and then say yes, it's not really a yes but that's just me. May be he is ok with it..then I said he can have a typewriter in the study (coz he mentioned to me the day before that he wanted a study) and we can have one of those really old record players and buy records for them and he said " wow..people will think we didn't learn about new technology". I mean how cute it would be to have this typewriter...

I have been thinking a lot about decor and stuff too lately. I think this is like one of the side effects of marriage, you go from thinking about shoes and clothes to appliances and vintage wall mirror behind the dining table or may be it's just me..Yess!! I have been thinking about vintage wall mirror for a long time and finally 5 days ago I dragged my husband to this flea market where they sell antiques too and found a mirror along with 2 wall candle holder thingys..The look pretty awesome, I wish I had a pic to share but "someone" didn't put them up yet even when I told him to do it a couple times....

Anyways, back to business and lets talk about what we usually talk about...FASHION!!! YAY :D But before that, on a side note, I think I should add something about "Decor" in my blog description too because I feel like I will be talking a whole lot about that stuff....OK now back to business seriously, since we are talking about Vintage I would like to share this article I read here. Some of you might have already read it before because it ain't that new.. but it talks about how we should start hunting for vintage clothing item for next years trend now and blah blah...well you girls can read it for yourself...My main "mission"(I felt like using the word mission..hehe)..yea so my main mission is to share with you girls the Vintage clothes I found...see now whenever I have to find something that I know I won't find on regular basis, one place I go to is Etsy. Wow I have been so out of the blogging world, it feels weird...But I really plan on being back now. Hopefully some people missed me..hehe....A lot has happened to me since October 20th..since I had my last post. I got married, it happened all pretty quick but he is an amazing man and I am really glad to have him in my life...

We got married in a court house, saved money since we didn't have it :P We also got a cute little puppy, he is 5 months old now and we named him Alfie...He is the cutest thing I have ever seen (well all pet owners say the same thing about their pets :P) but no he seriously is...He is a handful though but we love him...

So ya, that is what's been up with me??? I hope all you girls out there that I follow and who follow me are having a good time and enjoying the summer..For some of you, the school is almost about to starts..it stinks I know but I sometimes wish I was still in college....hopefully next year I ll be able to finish where I left off...Well, I just wanted to say hi today.
